Hello how are you?  I hope that you are well, and your family is well also.  I have a question about acupuncture.  I was trying to do research to find out what it is exactly but I can't really get a straight answer.  So - I know that you have a bookstore there - can you recommend a book to me so that I can read about acupuncture?  Then I will know what to expect.  However, I am not sure that I would like to participate in acupuncture because I do not like needles.  But I would very much like to receive massage.
To give you an update, the itching has decreased a bit but I have not started taking the medicine again yet because now I have very bad diarrhea.  The urine is frequently discharged from my bowels maybe 3 or 4 times a day.  Now I try to take Agar Agar to take some of the fluids away from my bowels.  When my diarrhea goes away, then maybe I will try to take the medicine again.  Then I will let you know the result.  I will take one pill 3 times a day and I will tell you the result.  Also, I am still having the menstrual bleeding, and now the big clots have come back.  I am shaking my head Dr. Ming - my body maybe is confused or just trying very hard to get rid of the poisons inside.

I am trying not to be sad Dr. Ming because I don't like to be sick - I do not like it when I don't feel well.  Before I started taking the herbal treatments, I was "stable" but not getting better. But I understand that sometimes, when a person takes medicine, maybe he gets more sick first, and then he gets better.  Maybe it means that the body is trying to get rid of the toxins that have been stored up for a long time.  So maybe this is a good thing.

Ok - so anyway, if you have the time, I would be thankful for you to suggest a book about acupuncture to me.  And which way do you do the acupuncture for your clients there?  I will read the book, and then I will let you know my decision about if I want to receive acupuncture or not.

Thank you very much - I am very appreciative for your help to me.  And so I will start to make preparations to come see you.  Do you know how I can get a plane ticket that will not be so expensive?  I tried to look on the internet but maybe you can find a better price for me.  Do you have suggestions for who I should call?  I already have my passport and so it will be no problem.  I  plan to stay for two weeks - so how much will that cost to stay in your hospital?  And how much money do you think I will need to buy food?  What is the weather like in China at that time?  Should I bring a heavy winter coat?  Is it very cold?  Do you know what the exchange rate is for american money and chinese money?  Does China have electrical outlets different from American electrical outlets?  As for my dialysis treatments, I can go 2 times in one week and I will be ok - for example, I can go on Monday and Friday.  My treatments usually last for 2 hours and 40 minutes.  For now, I think I may catch the plane on December 15th which is a Thursday and so it will be good for me to have dialysis on Friday December 16th, Monday December 19th, Friday December 23rd, Monday December 26th and Thursday December 29th - and then I will get on the plane to come back to the USA on Friday December 30th.  If it is possible, I will like to have my treatments early in the morning as soon as possible and then I can have the rest of the day to myself.  If you need to see about my dialysis treatments from here in New Jersey, let me know and I will send you a copy through email.

Thank you for your kind greetings!  I have not received the postal money order back yet but I will let you know as soon as I get it.

I am very anxious to receive the capsules.  However, my health condition has taken a bad turn all of a sudden.  To tell you a little bit more about it, I have been having very very heavy menstruation now since August 4th.  It is so heavy that my hematocrit is now 7.5!  My doctor said that last month it used to be 12 and I have lost a lot of blood.  I have lost so much blood that I am very tired now all of the time and sometimes dizzy.  So I went to the gynecologist yesterday.  I will get a pelvic ultrasound because I am still a virgin and he could not examine my uterus with his finger.  The diagnosis of the gynecologist is : menorraghia (rule out fibroids).  In the beginning, I had very large clots (almost bigger than golf balls) and rivers and rivers of blood!  I don't know what is going on but it was very frightening to see so much blood.  Now the bleeding has slowed down a little bit but it is still there and it has not stopped.
I am glad you asked about my health.  Maybe this is another problem that needs to be treated.  Do you think the first set of medicine that you are sending me will help this bleeding problem as well as the problem with my kidneys?  I was trying to take some herbs to stop the bleeding - I took a lot of ALFALFA (maybe 10 grams one day) because my book said it is high in Vitamin K and that is helpful to stop bleeding.  I also took Wild Yam because I think maybe that is helpful to stop bleeding also.  The gynecologist want to put me on hormone therapy but I am scared because I think that the synthetic hormones may cause breast cancer - then I will have ANOTHER problem!  Oh my goodness!  In addition, now my hair is getting weak and it comes  out easily when I comb it.  It is not extreme, but it should not be like that.  My hair has usually been long and thick but now it is having a hard time growing.  

Well, I know that I am asking a lot from you.  I think that maybe I am a very complex case!  I really think that you might be able to help me better if I just come to China and stay at your hospital for a little while.  I have almost 12 days of vacation that I can use so if I tell my job, they will let me take some time off and then I can come to China.  However, the other problem is that since my kidneys do not work, I am supposed to attend dialysis on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  I am not too worried about that because sometimes I do not go to dialysis and I still feel ok, but if I come to China, is there a dialysis center that is close to you?  I do not know how I will feel if I travel so far away from home.

On the other hand, I also considered to wait until my kidneys start to work again - and then I can come to China without worry about too many health issues.  Right now I think that maybe this is best but what do you think?  When I looked at your website, I saw that Mr. Giacomo from Italy stayed for 36 days before he got better.  I don't know how long it will take for me, but I know that I would not want to leave the hospital in the middle of treatment!  But at the same time, I do not want to neglect my job.

Well, I would like to hear your opinion Dr. Ming.  Do you think you will have to make another medicine for me?  Or do you think the first medicine will work for my kidneys AND my bleeding and hair falling out problem?

I am trying not to be anxious.  I am trying very hard not to be nervous because I want to be well soon.  I am trying to be happy and full of hope and optimistic.  I am hopeful that you can help me even though I am a very complicated case.  If you have any other questions about my health I can tell you.  I have spoken to my mother about the history of women in my family.  She said that the women in my family do not have female problems.  Even from my father's side, the women do not have female problems.  I have two sisters and they do not have female problems.  The women in my family have normal female functions.  Also, I am currently 29 years old, and I have not engaged in any sexual relationships because I am a Christian and I must wait until I am married.  That is why the gynecologist could not feel my uterus because my hymen is not broken.  He did not do a rectal exam either because he said I am a very small size.

I am so sorry to take up so much of your time but I really appreciate if you can help me.  I will be calm and wait patiently.  Thank you very much.

Also I forgot to give you another description of my bleeding problem.  I do not have any pain anywhere.  I am not having cramps or anything like that.  And there is no bad odor coming from the blood or from my vagina.  The blood is very dark and thick sometimes.  The large clots have consistency like jelly sometimes.  Sometimes one or two large clots will come and then there will be blood like a waterfall.  I have to go into the bathroom and let all of the blood fall into the toilet.  My abdomen is flat - there is no distension.  The gynecologist felt my abdomen and my pelvis areas and he said that he does not feel any masses.  Bowel movements continue to be normal.  I still make 3 or 5 drops of urine when I try to urinate.  I have not done any strenuous activity to hurt myself.  At my job, I am a counselor and I help children talk about their problems - therefore, I do not do straining activities.  I try to do moderate exercises by walking.  Appetite is not so good these days, but I make myself eat because I know I need it so I can have energy.  Maybe I have lost some weight but not a lot - maybe .2 or .3 kg, but not a significant amount.  Often I am cold and have a headache.

Please do not swallow a whole pill directly.      I have looked at your website and read about the many people that you have helped.  I am optimistic that you can help me too so I will tell you a little bit more about myself.

     I got very sick in 1989 when I was 14 years old.  First, the doctors said that I had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.  Then they said that it went into remission.  A little while after that, they said that I had lupus Nephritis/SLE.  My kidneys stopped working and then I had to be on dialysis.  I have been on dialysis since that time.  Now I am 30 years old, and I am having other symptoms.  I am having skin lesions and thickened skin on my right fingers and on my feet.  Also, the skin on my my face and hands keeps getting darker even though I am not in the sun.  Now the doctors say that I have mixed connective tissue disease.  They keep giving me different medications but they do not help.

     I have been trying different herbs for the past year or so.  A little while ago, when I looked at the laboratory results from my blood, it showed that my creatinine went down 2 points!  It went from 14 to 12.  Also at this time, I made almost 2 or 3 ml. of urine!  So I was trying to think about which herbs may have helped my kidneys and I remember at the time I was taking ASTRAGALUS and ALFALFA almost everyday.  Do you think maybe those two herbs are helpful to my kidneys?  I have decided to start taking the ASTRAGALUS again and I will go to the store to buy some more ALFALFA.  Now, I am also taking an herbal formula that has the following ingredients:      
Reishi, Cordyceps sinensis, Coriolus versicolor, Shiitake, Agaricus blazei, Maitake, Hericium erinaceus, Poria cocos, Tremella fuciformus, Polyporus umbellatus, Aloe Vera,  and Cat's Claw.

For a long time I have not made any urine.  But a little while ago I started to make almost 3 or 5 drops when I go to the bathroom.  So I think that maybe you can make a capsule for me that will make my kidneys function again properly.  So the western medicine says I have the following symptoms:
SLE (lupus Nephritis)
Scleroderma
mixed connective tissue disease
high blood pressure
Chronic kidney failure
End Stage Renal disease

I would be very grateful if you make a medicine for me that will make my health better.

By the way, if you do not mind,  please feel free to let us know a little

Ok - and now I will answer your question.  I usually do not feel stressful.  Most times I am at peace even though it is upsetting to be sick for so long.  Now i am hopeful that maybe you will be able to help me.  I have a good diet usually.  I eat rice and a lot of vegetables.  I like yams, and potatoes, and noodles and seafood and beans.  I like chicken sometimes and duck, and turkey.  I do not eat too much beef or pork.  However, lately I am not so hungry, but I make sure that I eat.  Yesterday I was not so hungry and I only had three eggs to eat for the entire day.  Lately I only eat one meal a day and that is very unusual for me because most times I have a good appetite.  My bowel movements are good - usually once or twice a day.  The bowel movements are also normal.
