Effection
Pharmacological action
1. Resistance to pathogenic microorganisms: in vitro tests
showed that Polygonatum Sibiricum water solution (1:320) had
inhibitory effect on Bacillus typhi, Staphylococcus aureus
and acid bacillus, and the 2% Polygonatum Sibiricum
inhibited the common pathogenic fungi in the Sabouraud
medium.
2. The effect on blood sugar: Rabbit gavage Polygonatum
Sibiricum extract, its blood glucose levels gradually
increased, and then decreased. Polygonatum Sibiricum extract
has a significant inhibitory effect on hyperglycemia induced
by adrenalin.
3. Anti fatigue effect: Polygonatum Sibiricum decoction
17.67% concentration of 0.3ml/ mouse intraperitoneal
injection can prolong the swimming time of mice.
4. Antioxidant effect: 20% concentration of the decoction,
13ml/mouse feed for 27 days, the liver superoxide dismutase
(SOD) activity in mice increased, and the content of
lipofuscin in the myocardium decreased.
5. The role of delaying senescence: Polygonatum Sibiricum
Decoction and 20% concentration with mulberry leaves for
silkworm feeding can prolong the larva stage of silkworm.
